Coffee with Kel

Building relationships, encouraging hope

A heaping helping of randomosity…

  • Good morning and HAPPY ST. PADDY’S DAY!
  • Macey wore her green to school very proudly today. Well, she was somewhat disappointed that she wasn’t dressed head to toe in green, to be honest. She has on a green long-sleeved tee which I thought was perfect, but she wanted green pants too. Go figure. πŸ˜‰
  • Spring weather is supposed to return to us today. We’re looking for mid-60s for the high. I can definitely appreciate that!
  • I made Rachael Ray’s Chicken, Biscuits’n’Gravy Casserole for dinner last night. It was my second time making it and it was great once again. So easy to make and yummy too!
  • Mickey brought home a new book for me yesterday. What a sweetheart! I sent him a list of books I’d like and he went to our church bookstore and got one to surprise me. He brought home Take One, Above The Line Series #1 by Karen Kingsbury, so that’s what I am reading now. Kingsbury is always great to read!
  • I’m not sure whether to whisper this cautiously or shout it from the rooftops, but Mariana is doing SO well with her potty-training. She is quite proud of herself too!! (Won’t say more because it’s early in the process yet.)
  • I’m excited to watch Biggest Loser: Couples tonight! Maybe that will help me regain some motivation. Lately I have just not been into working out and I need to get my movitation back on track. I think maybe I need another DVD or two so that I can work through a rotation and not get bored. Ideally, I’d like to join the YMCA as a family so we could work out there, so maybe that can happen soon.
  • Our play room is well on its way to being more organized. I had a wonderful organization consultant over here yesterday and we worked hard to get the play room inΒ  better shape. I am waiting on her to give us a quote to put in shelving units with drawers into the closet so that we can keep it organized down there. It felt good to purge some excess yesterday. Now, if only I could do that all around the house. Hmmm…?!?!?
  • I am photographing a wedding reception on Saturday and I am SO excited about that!
  • I’m off to get ready to face the day. Hope to get lots more done around the house. I guess I’m “spring cleaning” in steps. LOL!
  • Have a great day!

oohhhh didn’t know she had a new one out!

I recently read Mel Odom – a series about an NCIS team. Really liked it. Little more action packed.

Well happy St. Patty’s day to you! That is awesome that you are getting so organized, I can not wait to have a bigger house to do that with. Oh and since you are taking some time off LJ, we put our house on the market and hope to sell it so we can buy the bigger house that we have already fell in love with!

Have a great day! WOO HOO for Mariana!

I haven’t ever read Mel Odom. Sounds like I should.

I’m enjoying this Kingsbury already. No shock there, right?! πŸ˜‰

    Kel,
    1. During March, there are RedBox codes on Monday and Wednesday so I’ll be posting another one tomorrow afternoon. Maybe you can get THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES then!

    2. I’m photographing a wedding in July and I’m terrified. It will be my first. Let me know how the reception goes and I’d love to see some of your work!

    Jawan:

I get the Red Box codes texted on my cell on Mondays. How cool is THAT?! Of course, I’ll check your blog for other codes in the meantime.

I have done one other wedding by myself and then I’ve assisted on several others. It’s definitely nerve-racking, but FUN! I’m shooting the wedding of some very good friends in May, so I’ll be happy to show you the proofs.

I’m reading Reforming Marriage by Wilson. VERY GOOD. I’ve been meaning to recommend it to you. I’m actually rereading it, which I NEVER do.

Zoo was so awesome in this weather! We thought of y’all of course.

I am in a workout slump too. So, we need to just get off our expanding butts and do it! I loved our membership at the Y. Serioiusly, the classes kept me going, LOVED IT! Wish we had something close enough here.

Hmmm, something else but I don’t remember now…

Christi – I’ll have to check that one out!

We are ready for another zoo outing here. We love going! I’m always nostalgic about wearing Bitty around in the Ergo when we are there. πŸ˜‰

I hope we can join the Y soon. That would be so good for our whole family!

Leslie – I am going to have to check out that author. πŸ™‚

Mary – I will gladly loan you this Kingsbury when I’m done. I’ll bring it by or send it with Mickey.

I definitely make time to read. Mostly in the evenings. Well, mostly in the bath tub. That’s quiet time. πŸ˜‰
